John Mayall has paid his dues, having introduced the world to Eric Clapton, future Rolling Stone Mick Taylor, and much of what was to become Fleetwood Mac. He's still recording and performing, too, hitting the road this week with the Peter Green Splinter Group. The tour takes in the Derngate Theatre, Northampton, tonight; the Apollo Theatre, Oxford, tomorrow; Preston Guild Hall on Monday; Grimsby Auditorium on Tuesday; the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, on Wednesday; Warwick Arts Centre on Thursday; and Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall on Friday.
