BRIGHTON V BRADFORD CITY
Bottom club Brighton are likely to be unchanged from last weekend's game at Crystal Palace, although Andy Petterson will replace Will Packham as back-up to goalkeeper Michel Kuipers. The defender Nathan Jones (knee) and the midfielder Geoff Pitcher (heel) have returned to training, although will probably not feature while Paul Kitson (back), John Piercy (leg) and Robbie Pethick (foot) remain out.
Bradford will be without defender Andy Myers (calf), but Gus Uhlenbeek (Achilles) and Michael Standing (groin) have been included in the squad and hope to be available despite carrying slight problems. David Wetherall (hip), Gary Walsh (knee), Peter Atherton (groin), Andy Tod (hernia), Jamie Lawrence (ankle) and Tom Kearney (knee) are all still out.
COVENTRY V ROTHERHAM
Coventry have a slight concern over striker Lee Mills, while goalkeeper Fabien Debec is fit again after bruising his finger in training, but Gary McAllister may choose to stick with Morten Hyldgaard, who has started the last two games.
Rotherham welcome back the highly-rated young forward Chris Sedgwick (head) and the midfielder Darren Garner (calf) and both could go straight into the starting line-up.
GRIMSBY V GILLINGHAM
New loan signing John Oster, from Sunderland, is set to go straight into Grimsby's midfield as as player-manager Paul Groves is out with a thigh injury and the defender Paul Raven is suspended. Alan Pouton is rated as 50-50 with a head injury. John McDermott (calf) and Steve Chettle (back) remain out.
Gillingham's captain Paul Smith will take a late fitness test after he limped out of the midweek home defeat by Wolves with a hamstring injury. Danny Spiller is on stand by.
NOTTM FOREST V SHEFFIELD UTD
The Nottingham Forest manager Paul Hart is set to name an unchanged team from the one which drew at Norwich in midweek.
Sheffield United will be without the on-loan Aston Villa striker Michael Boulding (ankle). The veteran midfielder Stuart McCall is expected to return after a calf problem, while striker Wayne Allison is available again after a stomach strain.
PORTSMOUTH V LEICESTER
Leaders Portsmouth are likely to be unchanged for the top-of-the- table match. Eddie Howe (knee), Hayden Foxe (hamstring) and Rory Allen (leg) all remain out.
Leicester have striker James Scowcroft fit again after he missed the midweek win over Coventry. Matthew Jones and long-term injury victim Darren Eadie are the only absentees.
PRESTON V BURNLEY
Preston welcome back striker Ricardo Fuller from a three-game suspension, while Eric Skora (knee) and Rob Edwards (ankle) should also feature. Iain Anderson may also feature after recovering from a thigh injury.
Ian Cox is likely to return to the Burnley defence after missing the 6-5 defeat at Grimsby in midweek with a thigh strain. Midfielder Glen Little could be in line for a start after coming off the bench as could Alan Moore, but Gordon Armstrong (hamstring) remains out. …
