Few careers have such a wealth of opportunities to break new ground as psychology. "The scope is limitless," says Graham Davey, professor of psychology at the University of Sussex and vice president of the British Psychological Society (BPS). "This is not only because psychologists have a valuable contribution to make to areas of life ranging from education to crime and from health to work, but because there is so much research, and application of that research, yet to be done."
