Language barriers

I am a native French speaker with fluent Spanish, a BA in French and Hispanic studies and a PGCE in secondary foreign languages. After a career break I have just done a return to teaching course, but have been working as a supply teacher as I am finding it difficult to get a job. I am concerned that schools are taking on younger and cheaper staff - I am 50. What else can I do?
