The REP Stocks Season with Winners

A world premiere from a local playwright is among the four plays planned for the 2009-10 season of The REP, Point Park University's professional theater company.

Tammy Ryan's "A Confluence of Dreaming" (May 27-June 13, 2010) will close the season.

The Shadyside resident's drama follows a suburban homemaker who rediscovers a long-lost thrill and passion for life in cyberspace. Her real-world meeting with her online lover in New York City forces the woman to confronts the choice she's made against the desires she has suppressed. John Amplas directs.

The season begins with Jason Miller's classic "That Championship Season" (Sept. 11-27) directed by Robert A. Miller. The Pulitzer Prize-winning drama takes place at the 20-year reunion of a basketball team that causes them to confront their lives and self- deception and the possibility of redeeming themselves for one last chance at glory.

Norman Chaurette's "The Queens" (Nov. 19-Dec. 13), directed by Sheila McKenna and choreographed by Andre Koslowski. …
