Henry launches Web site

Gov.-elect Brad Henry gas launched a new Web site that can be accessed through the state's official Web portal at www.YourOklahoma.com.

"The more state government hears from the people, the better it functions," said Henry. "Not everyone has the time to drop by the state Capitol to express an opinion, so it's important to offer a platform for citizens to share their ideas. The Web site will help Oklahomans stay in touch with the state government, particularly the governor's office."

The Web site is the first official online presence for the governor-elect since his successful campaign for the state's top office in November.

The Web site includes information about the transition team, gubernatorial appointments and inaugural events.

The governor-elect's Web site was built by YourOklahoma, which also manages the state of Oklahoma's official portal.
