Allied Real Estate Commercial Services has launched an online information exchange that will streamline how the area commercial real estate community and the public access property data.

The first phase of the industry-backed Web site will contain information on more than 2,200 properties, about two-thirds of which are for sale, and will cover Oklahoma, Canadian and Cleveland counties.

Phase 2 will provide property data for the remaining six counties of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Statistical Area, as well as Stillwater.

Phase 3 will provide property data for the remaining counties in the south and western portion of the state.

Almost two years in the making, the Commercial Information Exchange will initially focus on generating information on commercial property, farmland and multifamily housing of more than four units.

A soft launch of the database already is under way at okcommercialproperty.com, with the public launch set for mid-March, said Bart Binning, chair of the Realtors Commercial Alliance.

Binning said the long-term goal is for the Oklahoma Property Information Database to provide a compilation of data generated from multiple sources pertaining to all property parcels and their improvements within the state.

That could include everything from pinpointing the location of cell phone towers to providing sophisticated data about properties within a specific part of town.

"In general, most of it is publicly available information that you now have to go to 10 or 15 places to find," Binning said. "We are going to be system aggregators and will aggregate it into a central location to make it easier to use."

That will save time for real estate brokers, which Binning said will free them up to tend to other aspects of their job.

Membership in the CIE will not require a membership or an affiliation with any real estate company, Binning said.

Allied Real Estate Commercial Services LLC is a newly created subsidiary of the Realtors Commercial Alliance Division of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of Realtors, which funded the project.

Binning said data is being compiled with three target audiences in mind: the general public, the commercial real estate community and the economic development sector. …
