I'm really enjoying life at university. I'm now in my second year studying media and cultural studies. Studying media at university is so much different to college.There are more opportunities available and you are free to expand on your ideas and allowed to use that energy to become more creative.
Students who attend university are all primarily there for one goal and no, it's not to drink the contents of the student bar, it is in fact to get a recognised qualification for career purposes! I have always wanted to go to university and although I'm still living at home and not in student accommodation, I feel like I'm experiencing a fantastic stage in my life that I wouldn't want to miss.
You get the chance to socialise with new people who in an everyday situation I would probably never get the opportunity to meet outside university. You learn to work with others and appreciate new ideas and concepts. Seminars are a great way of achieving this and it's a world apart from the education process of when I was at school.
