Seven women will be honored when the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Association of Women in Communications has its 53rd annual Byliner Awards dinner on Feb. 10. The event will be at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. The AWC Byliner Awards recognize the accomplishments of women who have made significant contributions to the community through their professional and volunteer achievements.
Honorees and the categories for which they are being honored are Gail Huneryager, Business Development; Dr. Barbara Bonner, Child Advocacy; Cynthia Reid, Communications; Elizabeth Kerr, Law; Debby Hampton, Non-Profit; Catherine Bishop, Public Affairs; and Debbie Anglin, Public Relations.

Huneryager, director of business development and marketing at the Crowe & Dunlevy law firm, has 20 years of experience in marketing and business management. She has been recognized as a 2009 Journal Record 50 Making a Difference honoree and received the 2009 and 2010 Hermes Creative Award for collateral and branding programs. Both the International Association of Business Communicators and the American Marketing Association have honored her. Her community activities include Allied Arts, YWCA, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Metropolitan Library Trust.
A clinical child psychologist and professor of pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Bonner has been on the faculty since 1987 and is the CMRI/Jean Gumerson Endowed Chair in Clinical Psychology. She has numerous recognitions from the OUHSC, OU Health Sciences Regents and the Children's Medical Research Institute and is recognized internationally for lectures and seminars.
