When Linda Hall called a few residents for help with organizing a centennial celebration of the borough's founding, many could not believe it has been nearly 25 years since the community's diamond jubilation in 1987.
That event brought the community together and led to a citizens' group that is still active today.
Hall, the borough secretary, is seeking volunteers to help with the 100th anniversary of New Eagle, tentatively planned for the second weekend in September 2012 at Larry "Tubby" Hall Park.
