A memorial service for Elizabeth W. Owens, a noted librarian, lecturer and instructor, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Congregational Church of St. Louis, 6501 Wydown Boulevard, Clayton. Burial was private.
Mrs. Owens, 94, died Aug. 18, 1994 at Memorial Home in St. Louis after a brief illness. She had lived in Richmond Heights for many years.
She began her career as a children's librarian at the St. Louis Public Library. She later worked as a book reviewer and as a history teacher at Rolla High School in Rolla.
