Thomas B. Lane

Thomas Bert Lane, 84, of St. Charles, died Thursday (Feb. 22, 1996) at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.

Mr. Lane was retired after working as a mechanic at McDonnell Douglas Corp. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of God (Holiness), 550 Jefferson Street, St. Charles. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery in West Plains.

Among survivors are his wife, Golda M. Lane of St. Charles; three daughters, Noma Louise Jenkerson of O'Fallon, Beverly Kaye Johnson of St. Charles and Terry Roberta Aldredge of Shirley, Ind.; two sisters, Lydia Beach of West Plains and Mary Rowe of Pueblo, Colo.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Francis L. Godfrey

Francis Leroy Godfrey, 86, of St. Charles, died Wednesday (Feb. 21, 1996) at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.

Mr. Godfrey was retired after working as a welder for Union Electric Co. He was a deacon and a 50-year member of Sutter Presbyterian Church.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, 2700 West Clay Street, St. Charles.

Among survivors are his wife, Hazel E. Godfrey of St. Charles; a daughter, Barbara Latta of St. Charles; a brother, Charles Godfrey of Godfrey, Ill.; three sisters, Ethelene Montgomery of St. Charles, Viola Ramel of Alton, Ill., and Elenore Wooster of Edwardsville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

F.F. Sontheimer

Frederick F. Sontheimer, 74, of St. Charles, died Wednesday (Feb. 21, 1996) at Barnes St. Peters Hospital.

Mr. Sontheimer was a former plant manager at a manufacturing company in St. Louis. He served in the Navy in World War II and was a member of Am erican Legion Post 313 of St. Peters.

The funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Cletus Catholic Church, 2705 Zumbehl Road, St. Charles. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles. Burial will be at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles.

Among survivors are his wife, Dorothy Brubaker Sontheimer of St. Charles; two daughters, Judith A. Mogelnicki of Florissant and Nancy G. Staggenborg of Hazelwood; a son, Fred C. Sontheimer of Maryland Heights; two sisters, Rosemary Supranowich of Florissant and Grace Hill of Las Vegas; a brother, Eugene Sontheimer of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Margaret J. Young

Margaret Joanne Young, 31, of St. Peters, died Sunday (Feb. 18, 1996) at Barnes St. Peters Hospital of injuries she suffered in an automobile accident.

Miss Young was a server at a cafeteria in St. Louis County.

The funeral was Thursday at Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles. Burial was at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles.

Among survivors are her parents, Marvin and Babette Young of St. Charles; a son, Gerald Kenneth Hayes of St. Peters; a sister, Theresa Johnson of Jefferson County; a brother, Michael Young of New Melle; her grandparents, Inez Young of Wilmington, Ohio, and Russell Young of Dayton, Ohio; and her stepgrandmother, Betty Young of Wilmington, Ohio. …
