Ebony Fashion Fair Highlights American, European Designers

Tickets are on sale for the 28th annual Ebony Fashion Fair, a showing of high fashion by American and European designers. The show, always simply fabulous, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 23, in Civic Center Music Hall. This show shouldn't be missed by anyone. It's wonderful entertainment as well as being a super fashion presentation.

Called "Body Language," this year's show is produced by Ebony Magazine and sponsored locally by the Urban League Guild of Oklahoma City for the benefit of its scholarship fund.

Tickets are available at C. R. Anthony, 2036 NE 23rd St.; Soul Boutique, 2400 N. Classen Blvd.; Herbert's Gospel Record Shop, 1515 NE 23rd St., and Her Potpourri, 10487 N. May Ave.

Tickets at $18 and $20 are available from Urban League Guild, 3017 N. Martin Luther King Ave., Oklahoma City 73111. A trip for two to Hawaii via American Airlines will be given away during the showing, according to Antoinette Roach Walker, president of the guild and chairman of the Ebony show locally. . .

- Another view of high fashion will be available to television viewers on March 9 on KTVY Channel 4. JoAnn Fullerton, fashion coordinator for "AM Oklahoma," will air her annual springfashion special at 6:30 p.m. that Sunday.

Included will be interviews with such fashion greats as Bill Blass, Geoffrey Beene and Adrienne Vittadini. In addition, their new spring collections will be shown, along with the fashions of Joan Vass, Gene Ewing of BIS and Oscar de la Renta.

The fashion special, done in cooperation with Balliet's, Jackie Cooper Rolls Royce, Tab and Earth Grains Bread, will be repeated on March 23 at 1 p.m.

The weather these past few days really have put thoughts of spring in the mind, haven't they? . .
