Eight officers have been elected or promoted to vice president of First Interstate Bank of Oklahoma NA, of Oklahoma City, it was announced Tuesday by John C. Dean, chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Those elected as vice presidents were: Johnson Hightower, Ron Moreland and Leon Nelson, all of the downtown office, and Doug Keffer, of the Tulsa office.
Those promoted to vice presidents were: Ross Hill, of the south office; Bill Pendleton, of the Norman office, and Jo Ann Schoo and Rod Steeves, both of the downtown office.
Five of the eight officers previously worked for First National Bank & Trust Co. of Oklahoma City, which failed last July. The bank's good assets were purchased by First Interstate Bancorp of Los Angeles to establish First Interstate Bank of Oklahoma on July 15, 1986.
Hightower currently works in First Interstate's professional and executive lending area. His experience includes service as an assistant vice president in the metro lending area, of First National Bank & Trust Co. of Oklahoma City, from March 1978 to April 1986.
Last April, Hightower joined the Execu Center of Bank of Oklahoma NA, where he was a vice president until last month.
Moreland works for Consolidated Asset Management Co., a First Interstate subsidiary set up to collect loans for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
