A new manufacturing process should strengthen the position of Magnetic Peripherals Inc. of Oklahoma City, the small disk division of Control Data Products Group of Minneapolis, officials have announced.
Magnetic Peripherals, which manufactures computer disk drives, will begin in the fourth quarter of 1987 to manufacture the printed wiring assemblies for the drives at its Oklahoma City facilities.
Until now, assemblies have been built under contract with three other companies around the United States, according to Art Wadleigh, director of new product development.
