Two new treatment programs and a new treatment center have opened at Willow View Mental Health System, 2601 N. Spencer Rd.
Horizons Residential Treatment Center will provide 24-hour care for teen-agers in Willow View's Horizons Adolescent Programs who have been sexually traumatized, who have been abusing drugs or alcohol or have emotional or mental health problems that interfere with their ability to function in their community.
A treatment program offering early intervention for traumatized preschool children and an adolescent sexual trauma program are being offered. The preschool program is a partial-hospitalization plan that provides a structured, therapeutic plan and promotes the essential maturation skills that lead to a strong personality and a strong sense of identity. The Safe Horizons Adolescent Sexual Trauma Program helps the victim rediscover the original pain and uses experiential activities to help start the healing process.
Willow View Mental Health System is a non-profit network offering comprehensive mental health services, including Willow View Hospital, the Corporate Assistance Program, the Experiential Learning Institute and the Family Institute of the Southwest. . . The Outback Steakhouse at Int. Hwy. 240 and Pennsylvania Ave., inside Walnut Square Shopping Center, has scheduled a grand opening celebration from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. All proceeds will benefit the American Lung Association of Oklahoma.
