WASHINGTON (JR) -- The number of women-owned businesses in Oklahoma increased 32.4 percent to 119,400 from 1992 to 1999.

Employment by Oklahoma's women-owned businesses increased 96.8 percent to 278,400 during the seven years, according to the National Foundation for Women Business Owners.

Sales by the woman-owned business in Oklahoma increased 126.8 percent to $36.7 billion from 1992 to 1999.
