Joe C. Lewallen Jr. has been elected president of Fellers, Snider, Blankenship, Bailey & Tippens. His practice focuses primarily on commercial real estate and business law.
Eric S. Eissenstat was elected to the firm's executive committee. His practice focuses in civil and commercial litigation, business torts and computer law.
Lewallen and Eissenstat will serve on the executive committee with Warren F. Bickford IV and Michael R. Ford from the Oklahoma City office and Roy C. Breedlove of the Tulsa office.
Bryan N.B. King and Scott R. Zingerman have become shareholders and directors with the firm.
King is a graduate of Pepperdine University and has his law degree from the University of Oklahoma. He practices in the Oklahoma City office in general civil litigation and workers compensation insurance defense.
Zingerman, a patent attorney, is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and has his law degree from the University of Tulsa. He practices in the Intellectual Property Group in the Tulsa office.
Mock trial scheduled
The Oklahoma City Chapter of the Association of Financial Service Professionals will have a mock trial as part of Ethics Awareness Month at 10 a.m. March 14 at Oklahoma City University's Sarkey Law Center.
The trial will be adapted from a transcript of a securities case concerning suitability of investments and misrepresentation in the sale of securities.
Davis Newsome, general counsel of Williams Communications Group in Tulsa, will serve as the judge mediating the trial. Bruce Day, president of Day, Edwards, Propester & Christensen in Oklahoma City and a former administrator of the Oklahoma Department of Securities, will be the defense attorney. Shaun M. Mullins, an attorney with the Oklahoma Securities Department, will be the prosecuting attorney. Nadine Seago, vice president of employee benefits for the North American Insurance Group in Oklahoma City, will be the plaintiff.
Charles H. Potts, career development director, investment specialist and compliance officer for the McCaskill Financial Group office of MassMutual of Oklahoma City, will be the defendant. Mark S. Thompson, chief operating officer for the McCaskill Group, will act as Potts' supervisor in the mock trial. …
