AS FAR as I am aware, hardly anyone in the media has stuck up for poor old Sir Edward Elgar, dumped from the [pound]20 note by the upstart economist Adam Smith. Worcester Cathedral has gone as well, which is a great shame for some acquaintances of ours, whose house, in the lee of the cathedral, was pictured rather prominently.
