BETHUNE-COOKMAN COLLEGE (Fla.) has received a $4.6 MILLION gift from an anonymous business associate of BCC alum Larry R. Handfield. The donation is the largest single gift by an individual in the college's history. Handfield, a former drum major for BCC's Marching Wildcats Band, is a criminal defense attorney in Miami.
Ohio's Third Frontier Program has awarded $234 MILLION to a 33-member coalition led by CLEVELAND STATE UNIVERSITY. The award will establish a Wright Center of Innovation for Ohio on CSU's downtown campus.
FRESNO STATE UNIVERSITY (Calif.) has received $10 MILLION from The Table Mountain Rancheria tribe to aid construction of the college's $105 million Henry Madden Library.
