Abstract
Educational technology has the opportunity to significantly influence not only how members of faculty deliver instructional content, but also how they enhance student learning. Course management systems can help staff become more efficient and effective at disseminating information, and perhaps even foster online learning communities. This study explores to what degree using the discussion board tool in a course management system augments student learning in two courses in a hospitality management programme.
