At age 71, Michelangelo was appointed chief architect of St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome-work he supervised until his death at age 89. Adolph Zukor was chairman of Paramount Pictures until he was 91. And George Abbot, the great Broadway actor, writer, director and producer, brought "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" to Broadway at age 75.
