A: Overall, the ICD-IO-CM code book is structured and organized similarly to the ICD-9-CM code book

The ICD-IO-CM Alphabetic Index is divided into two parts: the Index to Diseases and Injury and the Index to External Causes of Injury. As with ICD-9-CM, a neoplasm table and a table of drugs and chemicals is included in the diseases and injury index.
