Celebrating Community Banking Month can be a fun and beneficial way to remind people about the good things your bank does. It's not too late to plan an event for this year's celebration. Here are some ideas your bank can adopt quickly and easily.
Employee Stick-Ons. Give each employee bright-colored buttons or adhesive-backed lapel stickers with slogans-such as Celebrate Community Banking, Building America or Hometown Pride-Nationwide-to help open a dialogue about Community Banking Month with customers.
Balloon Giveaways. Balloons are a great eye-catcher, and people of all ages love them. Have Community Banking Month or another slogan printed on balloons, rent a helium tank and you'll have inexpensive promotional items walking in and out your bank's doors.
Decorate Your Bank. Hang banners, set up balloon trees, or string streamers for Community Banking Month. Decorate your bank with memorabilia or items that depict some of your bank's or community's history. Remember, there is always at least one person on any staff who enjoys decorating and has lots of ideas-this is that person's chance to shine!
Contests and Giveaways. Does your bank have a wide variety of items from a past promotional sitting in a store room?
