PERIODIC PROTESTS PROLIFERATE

Thanks for your great Winter 2005 issue. I loved every bit.

I wanted to let you know that Feminism Fits (news item on page 6) is spreading across Canada, just as the committee wished. When we at Womanspace Resource Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta heard about the first "Fit" we loved the idea and created a small committee to make it happen here. We contacted Lisa Zigler in St. John's for permission to use the idea and launched Martha's Monthly in June 2004. We drew the name from our Premier, who refers to the common people of Alberta as the "Marthas and the Henrys."
