Project Gutenberg Reader Site Launched

The Project Gutenberg (PG) Reader Team has announced the launch of a free ebook site at http://www.pgreader.com. The PG Reader is a free online tool for reading the standard Project Gutenberg Etext files. According to the announcement, the PG Reader site strives to not only offer a convenient way to view the Project Gutenberg electronic texts through a browser, but also an easy way to search for and download them at a reader's convenience. The site is not directly affiliated with Project Gutenberg (http://www.promo.net/pg); the PG Reader simply uses the freely distributable Project Gutenberg files to display for free inside the Reader.

Written using Active Server Pages, the PG Reader allows users to view the standard Project Gutenberg Etexts in a convenient and intuitive way, according to the announcement. The site was created by Paul Mennega of Mennega Solutions, and is a continuing work in progress.
