Architecture

Questia, your online research library and paper writing resource, contains thousands of scholarly articles and books about Architecture.

Architecture is the art of arranging space, resources and design to build a structure, generally landscaping habitation meeting human requirements. Dating back to the earliest construction erected by Ancient Egyptians before 3000 BC, architecture has challenged all disciplines of technological, scientific, mathematical and artistic abilities towards creating a landscape of surfaces or structures essential to day to day living. Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the most notable American architects, defines architecture in the book In the Realm of Ideas: “Architecture is that great living creative spirit which from generation to generation, from age to age, proceeds, persists, creates, according to the nature of man, and his circumstances as they change. That is really architecture.”
