- Nike runs with Ellie
Nike has rolled out an online video featuring pop singer Ellie Goulding training for 'Run To the Beat', the London music industry half-marathon, which took place on 25 September. The 'Music runs Ellie' film was created by digital agency AKQA.
- RBS' movie rewards
RBS is aiming to build consumer trust with a customer-reward initiative, offering current-account-holders free tickets to movies before they go on general release. DreamWorks Pictures' The Help is the first movie featured in the Film First scheme, which is open to NatWest and RBS customers.
- Brand award deadline
The deadline for nominations for The Marketing Society's Brand of the Year 2011 award has been extended to 5pm on Friday 28 October. Readers are invited to nominate their favourite brand ahead of the society's annual dinner on 29 November. Guests will vote on the night to decide a winner.

- Heineken up for Cup
Heineken is extending its status as official beer supplier and worldwide partner of the Rugby World Cup to cover the 2015 competition in England The deal will push its total investment in rugby to more than pounds 100m. The agreement continues the lager brand's long-standing association with international rugby.

- Netflix set for UK
Netflix, the US film subscription brand, is set to launch its streaming service in the UK and Ireland in 2012. Netflix allows subscribers to stream TV shows and films across a range of devices including PCs, connected TVs and mobile devices. Details of the pricing and the supported devices will be unveiled closer to the launch. Netflix launched in the US in 1997 and now has more than 25m members across 43 countries.
- APA summit line-up
Speakers from Boots, Westfield UK, The Huffington Post, Contagious Communications and AkzoNobel have joined the line-up for next month's APA International Content Summit. The 'Content + Convergence' event, supported by Marketing, takes place at Old Billingsgate in London on 23 November.

- Oddbins back in action
Oddbins, the off-licence chain, which entered administration six months ago, is to return to the high street. Its relaunch will include the re-opening of 37 of its shops, employing 200 staff, following a buyout of a segment of the chain's shops by the wine wholesaler European Food Brokers. The chain is marking its revival by inviting consumers to decide the prices for some of the wines that it stocks.
- Wrigley 100 not out
Wrigley celebrated its UK centenary last week by hosting a day for past and present employees at its Plymouth factory. Packaging and ads from the 30s to present day, showcasing various Wrigley ranges, were on display at the factory.
- Google promotions
Google has appointed its senior European marketer, Dan Cobley, as its UK managing director. He replaces Matt Brittin, who has been promoted to vice-president of Google Europe. …
