Knowledge Source Updates

SIRS Knowledge Source now allows users access to thousands of full-text articles and colorful graphics from SIRS reference databases, SIRS Researcher, SIRS Government Reporter, and SIRS Renaissance by searching all three databases simultaneously or individually. Suited to the research needs of students and library patrons alike, it enables quick retrieval of information for assignments, exploration, and reference, according to the company.

SIRS Knowledge Source also offers a variety of convenient features such as multiple tagging; sorting, printing, and e-mailing options; specialized search history and retrieval features; a dictionary/thesaurus called How To Cite; a reference aid adapted from Turabian; MLA and APA guidelines; and more.

In addition, SIRS Knowledge Source is now updated daily with late-breaking stories and follow-ups to ongoing issues. With this new updating cycle, content and currency of database articles is ensured.

Among the other new features now available on SIRS Knowledge Source are Descriptors that aid in article selection by providing greater flexibility when viewing and selecting search results. Descriptors are Library of Congress and Readers' Guide subject headings related to a selected article. Clicking on article descriptors enables a user to link to even more related articles in SIRS Knowledge Source without the need to perform a new search.
