Gale Group has announced the launch of its InfoTrac Custom Newspapers database, which will deliver full-text articles from more than 30 U.S. and U.K. newspapers using specific search parameters and eliminating random searches. In a separate release, Gale has announced this year's planned launch of History Resource Center, an online history library.

Custom Newspapers

InfoTrac Custom Newspapers allows searching by title, headline, date, author, or newspaper section, providing the searcher with more precise results. Additionally, search results are displayed within the newspaper section, providing context for the articles. Results are delivered electronically from the newspaper, creating an electronic edition with only the needed articles.

Newspapers such as The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Times (London), The Dallas Morning News, The Indianapolis Star, The Arizona Republic, San Francisco Chronicle, and the entire Knight Ridder family of papers are among those currently available, and another 40 major papers will be added this year. The additional newspapers will expand Custom Newspapers' coverage to the Pacific Rim.
