MKM/SUPER8 SOUND EDITING TABLE AVAILABLE

Super8 Sound, Inc. of Cambridge, MA has been appointed as the exclusive U.S. Distributor for the new MKM/ Supers Sound Editing Table. Manufactured in the U.S. since 1973, the MKM editing table has earned an outstanding reputation with Super-8 Filmmakers all over the world.

The new version of this fine editing machine -The MKM/Super8 Sound Editing Table-has a number of important new and improved features-including the substantial quality and service backing provided by Supers Sound for all of its products.

Standard Features of the MKM/Super8 Sound Editing Table

The MKM/Super8 Sound Editing Table is a 4-plate (one Super-8 picture track and one Super-8 fullcoat track) electronically controlled horizontal editing machine operating on the same principles as 16mm editing tables-such as Steenbeck, KEM and Moviola. Features include: 800 ft reel capacity (almost 40 minutes at 24fps); An original picture head design incorporating an 8-sided prism, a 21V/150W projection lamp and a large (3.75''x5'') bright groundglass rear screen; Variable speed control from 1-70fps forward and reverse; 3 fps creep speed; Manual inching; 24 fps sync speed with interlocking capability to any number of Supers Sound Recorders; A flywheel stabilized sound transport for the Super-8 fullcoat track; Solid state amplifier with built in speaker; Declutching switches to allow independent transport of picture or sound for easy synchronization; Independent torque motors with cut-off switches; A large half-inch LED display and electronic frame counter.

All units feature power line inputs for 117, 220 and 240 Volts 50 or 60 Hz AC.

Editing Table Options

Options for the MKM/Super8 Sound Editing Table include a single-system sound head with flywheel stabilization and a Super 8 fullcoat two-track magnetic head with a stereo amplifier.

FRAME COUNT CUING SYSTEM

A new Frame Count Cuing System which is adaptable to most printers was recently introduced by Peterson Enterprises, Inc. It provides cue signals for the activation of automatic scene-to-scene light changes, fades and dissolves at the exact chosen frame line, therefore, eliminating the need for all notches or metallic patches on the film negative.

The system includes Bi-directional Counting and Tape Reading for use on panel printers; it accoommodates Super 8, 16mm or 35mm films, designed for both "Milestone and Batch" mode operation; Built-in Digital Display, FCC/ Program Tape discriminator; and Integrated Circuitry throughout. Two different models are available, one for counting "Frames Only" and one for counting both "Feet and Frames".

NEW FREZZI VIEWFINDER IN PRODUCTION

Frezzolini Electronics Inc. introduced production-line models of its Frezzi Viewfinder for its professional 16mm "Frezzi-Flex®" motion picture (ciné) cameras at the exhibit of the Company's Export Agents, Cinecraft International, Inc., at the "Film '77" Conference held in London, England in July 1977. Frezzi Viewfinders are not in production at the plant in Hawthorne, New Jersey U.S.A.

Originally designed and produced for use on the Frezzolini® Frezzi-Flex® Model FR-16 ciné cameras, Frezzi Viewfinders are also available for the CP reflex cameras as well. …
