ISI Releases the CompuMath Citation Index on CD-ROM

The Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) has announced the release of the CompuMath Citation Index on a CDROM format. This new citation database offers a rolling 5-year file, covering nearly 350 of the world's leading computer science and mathematics journals. The CompuMath Citation Index on CD-ROM will also provide individually selected coverage of relevant items from more than 7,300 of the world's leading science, social sciences, and arts and humanities journals. The database will be published bimonthly and will be available for Windows, Macintosh, and MS-DOS.

The CompuMath Citation Index on CD-ROM will allow both current and retrospective searching via a 5-year rolling file of data with the 1997 subscription including data back to 1993. More than 50,000 source items will be indexed per year on topics such as computer applications in chemistry and engineering, computer sciences (general and special topics), mathematical methods in biology and science, mathematics (applied, general, and pure), statistics and probability, and systems sciences. For each item indexed, the CompuMath Citation Index on CD-ROM provides complete bibliographic data, full-length author abstracts, and cited references. …
