Jacksonville authorities arrested a Georgia man and woman less than a day after identifying them as suspects in the shooting death of the woman's stepfather from Brantley County.

Richard Warrell, 45, was found dead after being shot several times early Thursday in his home on Church Road in rural Hortense.

Krystal Anne Hall, 19, was arrested Thursday shortly before midnight. She was taken into custody without incident, authorities said, but no details have been released about how or where she was located.

Patrick Lee Connelly, 21, was tracked to a home on Boney Road on the Northside of Jacksonville. As law enforcement officials approached the house to arrest him, they spotted him on Cedar Point Road driving the victim's stolen sport utility vehicle, according to the arrest report.

A car chase began that reached speeds over 100 mph, and Connelly drove into a wooded area off Spring Hammock Road. Officers surrounded the area, and Connelly was found hiding in the underbrush by K-9 units shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, the report said. Weapons were found in the car, according to a news release from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Connelly and Hall face one count each of murder and burglary in Georgia. Connelly also was charged in Jacksonville with grand theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing from law enforcement and driving on a suspended license. …
