TEESSIDE University has been rated the top place to be by international students.
The university topped all four categories of the International Student Barometer, which surveys the opinions of international students at UK universities.
The autumn 2008 survey explored the views of students from 81 universities, and 350 of Teesside's international and European Union students took part.
The university had the highest average score in all four categories of the survey - 87.8% in overall satisfaction, 92.3% in support, 88.3% in learning, and 87.5% in arrival - how students are helped to settle in.
The university received the highest rating for 21 attributes within the categories, including top Students' Union, language support, library, internet access, technology and learning support.
Among the international students impressed with the university is Ismael Baguma, 36, from Rwanda.
He has been sponsored by his employer, the Rwandan National Police force, to study for a masters degree in criminal investigation.
Ismael said: "The lecturers' methods are excellent, they are approachable and give you time to talk if you haven't understood something.
"The facilities such as the Learning Resource Centre are also excellent and the whole learning environment is very friendly and welcoming. …
