AMONG the cases dealt with at Teesside Magistrates' Court on September 22 were: Dean Richard Williams, 29, of The Crescent, Middlesbrough, given a one-year community order and ordered to pay pounds 500 compensation for burglary and burglary with intent to steal.

Kevin Curry, 22, of Hampden Street, South Bank, Middlesbrough, jailed for eight weeks for assaulting a police officer and possession of cannabis whilst the subject of a suspended sentence imposed on June 22 for possession of an offensive weapon.

Nathan Gunn, 21, of Kimberley Drive, Middlesbrough, jailed for five weeks for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and theft.

Anthony Dunn, 23, of Jones Road, Hartlepool, banned from driving for 20 months, given a one-year community order and ordered to pay costs of pounds 620 for drink-driving, using a vehicle without insurance and resisting a PC.
