GOODBYE end of financial yearC* hello Jumpers & Jazz in July! The start of the festival is just three weeks away.

Karina and the Art Gallery team are well organised for the tree-jumper exhibition, textile workshops, and Rudy Kisler's incredible chalk art project outside the gallery.

I, on the other hand, am scrambling to pull together an equally incredible jazz program for the park, the street and the many venues that are embracing the festival. But, I am confident it will be a cracker. Or should I say swinging, line-up? There is absolutely something for everyone Co from free events to Cyhigh end' black tie and dinner events. This year, you will find cool jazz, poetry and even a literature evening at swinging jazz venues.

And the events are not all Warwick-centric. Allora hosts the Caxton Street Jazz Band, as does Stanthorpe's Robert Channon Winery; Killarney ramps up the temperature with their Fire Drums; and this year Yangan Hotel will join the party with a jazzy Christmas in July.

I'd like to say a big thank-you to all the hard-working groups and businesses getting behind this year's festival. It is clear to me that you are all keen to build on the success of previous events and that you come to meetings with fresh ideas and a willingness to work together to produce something spectacular.

I would particularly like to thank My Optical, Bryson's, Classic Dimensions, Fraser's Transport and Asure Insurance for chipping in with the Channel 7 television campaign, ensuring that Warwick and Jumpers & Jazz is a top destination for event-seekers in the Great South East. …
