October is a great time to see a scary movie. "Paranormal Activity 3" takes you on a disturbing thrill ride about a family's paranormal disturbances in their home. While offering everything a hair-rising horror film needs, it will have you sitting at the edge of your seat, covering your eyes in terror. Just in time for Halloween, it's a fun way to get scared without going to a haunted house.

THE THREE MUSKETEERS

The national critics savaged this as being bombastic and cheesy, which is true, but it is still great fun! It had only a tenuous relation to Dumas' classic, but the production values were high, and the cast certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves. Milla Jovovich, of "Resident Evil" fame, is stunning, and the actors who play the musketeers (there's always been four, since d'Artagnan becomes one) do the roles proud.
