ElringKlinger (GB) Ltd have had a manufacturing base in the North East of England for almost 50 years, trading initially from premises in Skelton before moving in 1997 to a purpose built 10,000m2 facility on Kirkleatham Business Park in Redcar.The Company specialises in the design and manufacture of speciality gaskets from both soft and hard materials as well as producing sealing solutions for engine, transmission and exhaust applications. It also designs and manufactures shielding systems to protect heat sensitive components for both engine bay and under body applications. It is currently the only European production location manufacturing gaskets and shields in one facility giving it the opportunity to develop, project manage and supply sealing and shielding modules independently.

ElringKlinger (GB) Ltd are a full service supply partner, offering design, development and project management services. It is supported by its own on site prototype shop, testing facilities and metrology lab.

The customer base includes; Ford Motor Company, VW group, BMW, JaguarLandrover, Honda, GM, Perkins Caterpillar and JCB. In addition it supports prestige vehicle manufacturers such as Lotus, Bentley, Rolls Royce and Aston Martin.

Having had to readjust its business model due to the economic crisis of 2008 and 2009, ElringKlinger (GB) Ltd have ambitious but achievable plans to double its turnover to pounds 26m by 2016.The last two years has seen growth of around 40% and the Company now employs more than 140 people. The last year has also seen a significant increase in business opportunity as many of the Company's customers rebound from the recession.

In recent months the Company has been nominated to produce a high volume sealing and shielding module for General Motors. It has also been successful in winning business for under body heat shielding components for the next generation BMW Mini.
