In this hectic season, nothing cheers us up like a program of Christmas music and that's exactly what Windsong will be offering at 5 p.m. Sunday to start off this year's concert season.

The program will be presented in Petree Recital Hall in the Wanda L. Bass School of Music on the Oklahoma City University campus.

The theme for the concert is Celebrate the Holiday with Windsong and music will include a Christmas Story carol medley of favorites, plus a Southwestern carol medley of lullabies. Windsong also will perform a baroque solo of Gloria.

Concert tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased at Silks Etc. in Northpark Mall or by calling 721-7723.

Windsong's program will engage the audience to create an interactive, fun experience. Kerry Barnett is Windsong Chamber Choir music director.

Proceeds from the concert will go toward assuring all 29 members of Windsong will be able to be part of the program at the American Chorus Directors Association national convention in February.

Windsong is available to perform at local holiday parties with proceeds benefiting the choir's trip. Corporate or individual sponsorships are available. …
