Violence in the Schools

BACKGROUND

Schools in the United States, city, rural, and suburban, are struggling with a chronic problem of violence in and outside the classroom. The disruption is no longer confined to fist fights at recess and after-school bullying. Today students are armed with guns and using them to settle arguments and enhance reputation.
