COUNTERTRANSFERENCE These are all the feelings, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and fantasies that the therapist has for the client. They are important to therapeutic work. They may be projections from the client that the therapist feels. They may be the therapist’s own difficult feelings towards the client. They are worked through in supervision so that they can aid the therapeutic process when understood.
DYADIC RELATIONSHIP A relationship of two people.
ENMESHMENT Where relationships are so close that people cannot tell the difference between their own feelings and those of the person they are enmeshed with. Differences are not easily tolerated or are mistrusted and discouraged.
