and (therapist’s name and qualifications) . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The process of therapy is to help us make sense of our inner world and our interaction with the world around us. At times this will involve exploring difficult and painful issues. Taking care of basic practical details at the beginning can help us create a structure and a safe place where we can work therapeutically.

The following points will help to outline the therapeutic work:

Sessions are usually weekly on a given day and time, and last for 50 minutes.

Your day is . . . . . . . . . . . . . and your time is . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Cancellations. If for any reason you are unable to attend a session, and I am available, you will be charged for that session. This includes days off for sickness, and holidays, apart from the ones agreed between us (8 weeks per year). I would ask you to advise me of any intended absences as much in advance as possible.
