Part I concluded that imperial cults in Asia were concerned especially with the construction of a cosmology that reinforced Roman imperialism. That cosmology produced an imperial eschatology with fundamental defects. Part II argues that Revelation manifests a cosmology and eschatology that opposed the dominant discourse.
