Part V: Suggested Reading
The probability and sampling distributions described in Chapter 12 provide a foundation for making external and internal statistical inferences. This chapter describes two procedures researchers use to make such inferences. These two, statistical hypothesis testing and confidence intervals, are intimately related; they are simply different ways of addressing the same objectives.
