We would like to ask you about the behaviors of other students toward you.1 We are asking you about what really happened to you, and not what you have heard about others.
For each of the following behaviors, please tell us whether it happened to you at school during the prior month. Use the following scale:
A student seized and shoved you on purpose.
You were involved in a fistfight.
You were kicked or punched by a student who wanted to hurt you.
A student used a rock or another instrument in order to hurt you.
A student took your things from you by force.
You were involved in a fight, were hurt, and required medical attention.
A student gave you a serious beating.
A student cut you with a knife or a sharp instrument on purpose.
A student threatened to harm or hit you.
A student tried to intimidate you by the way he or she was looking at you.
Students threatened you on your way to or from school.
Gang members at school threatened, harassed, and pressured you.
