ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Robert Nadeau is an interdisciplinary scholar who has attempted through- out his career to bridge the gap between the two cultures of humanists- social scientists and scientists-engineers. He has published books in the humanities, the social sciences, and the hard sciences in areas as diverse as artificial intelligence computing, quantum physics, biology, neuro- science, public policy, and literary criticism. Nadeau is currently a profes- sor at George Mason University and lives with his family in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., in northern Virginia.
