Appendix 4
VOCABULARY

The following is an alphabetical list of the words which appear 200 or more times in the Hebrew Bible.1 These words also appear in the vocabulary lists of the lessons in this Grammar. The lesson number in which a vocabulary word was introduced appears in brackets after the word. A few words that occur less than 200 times are included in this vocabulary because of their grammatical importance or their use in paradigms; they are marked with an asterisk. Mastering this list will give beginning students a good working vocabulary for reading biblical Hebrew.
