HOW
TO GET A
LICENSE
This appendix provides complete details about certification and licensure. As you can see, there is quite a variation in fees, time requirements, and so forth from state to state, so it is important that you check out the licensure information that applies to any state in which you desire to practice. For example, while most states have a biennial licensure period, Connecticut has an annual licensure period and Iowa has a triannual period. Such variations apply all the way down the line: fees, time limits, continuing education requirements, and so forth. So, we repeat, be certain to check the licensure information for any state in which you wish to practice. It will help you in deciding on the location that best matches your career accomplishments and objectives.
