School Board Member Hoping to Retain Her Seat

Carol Studdard is seeking a fourth term on the Clay County School Board.
Studdard has filed papers with the Supervisor of Elections Office to run for the District 2 seat, which she has held since 1992.
"I thoroughly enjoy serving on the School Board," she said. "I want to continue helping to maintain the excellent quality of Clay County schools . . . I'm there for the students."
The stresses of inadequate funding for the school district's growth needs, she said, is tempered by a top-flight education team.
"It is a constant challenge dealing with funding issues for the schools as well as trying to help parents who have concerns," she said. "Over the years, I have had the opportunity to get acquainted with teachers and staff at the various schools.
