Berti Makes the Tartan Army His '12Th' Man - Now All He's Got to Do Is Sort out the First 11

BERTI VOGTS has finally decided to tap into Scotland's greatest natural football resource - by capping the entire Tartan Army.
The national team boss revealed yesterday that the Scotland support will be given an official squad number and listed on the team sheet for games.
Berti's barmy army recruitment drive comes after trying out different formations, blooding players of every age from all four corners of the UK and even flirting with foreign recruits, 'The fans are crucial to the team, as good as an extra man, and I never cease to be amazed at the numbers who follow Scotland with such emotional and vocal commitment,' said Vogts.
'I have decided that the Tartan Army will be allocated a permanent place in the Scotland squad and will be given a squad number on our team lines, to recognise the impact their support can have on the players.
'I had a lengthy meeting with representatives of the Tartan Army last night and I was pleased that they are right behind my commitment to bring through Scotland's most talented young players and offer them experience in the national team. …
